I really like the smart lock (SHP-DH537).
A little bit fidlly when installing it, but that was because my previous door lock is a bit different in size.
It is very easy to use, love the auto lock function with the tone after I close the door.

I have just purchased a property and was having problems with the lock not opening. I called up the hotline and spoke with Marianne Panis who was amazing helping me diagnose the issue. We don’t have to worry about locking the door or have to remember our keys. Even letting family in while we were away with a code rather than having keys laying around - it was a bit tricky to program but once we got the hang of it - it was fine. It looks really smart and my neighbors all love it and want one too - I like the tags to swipe to get in - so easy!

Jimmy came to install the lock on the appointment day. Did the installation professionally and helped us with the programming and understanding a lot of the modes that it has. He even cleaned up the dust from drilling extra space for the latch/mortice plate and installed a flush finish strikeplate.

The installation of the lock took a while to figure out as the printed instructions are not that clear when it comes to the location of the wires but the online video sorted that issue out. Otherwise the lock is excellent in terms of how it looks and works.

We have found that the touch pad door lock is very convent for our house as we travel a lot and have others come and go.

Love my new door lock! I no longer have to worry about my kids not locking the door behind them when they come home late. :)
Installation was easy and manged to do it myself using a mortise jig from ebay.
I couldn't understand why the latch wouldn't retract but thanks to Mary Grace from support I learnt that using an innovative system so it doesn't actually retract which makes opening and closing easy for older people since it has less mechanical parts.
This is one lock I will recommend especially if you want a handle and dead bolt in one.

I had a technical issue, in that after three other people could not succeed in programming my door-lock, I thought that it would be a good idea to call the company. A really helpful lady Mary Grace talked me through the procedure and the problem was solved quickly and easily. Superb customer service!
When we have used this for a while, and have checked out some of the additional features, I am confident that I will come back and review the actual door-lock itself. Given that it is Samsung, and if the customer service is anything to go by, I am sure that it will be excellent!

Great Lock. However.....
The instructions are atrocious. Whoever wrote the install and setup guide did so without considering that sometimes ordinary English speaking people will buy and install this.
After much colourful language I finally got the lock installed. Alas while I was just about to shut the door for the first time, I realised (because I actually do speak english) that if I did shut the door, I would not be able to open it FOREVER as it is not programmed.
3 hours later after becoming an expert on YouTube, I still didn't want to shut the door. So, I removed the offending door latch and just relied on the dead bolt to close the door shut and lock itself.
Now not needing to ever see my barber again, I gave up and called and left a msg with Samsung's tech support.
Next day, extremely helpful and friendly tech support fellow had a chuckle when I expressed my fear of having to use an exe to open the door again. Low and behold, his first statement was, This was the issue most calls are based on. The latch as it turns out is SPECIAL. Um I bet if I didn't speak english I would not have realised the latch would never again open.
Eureka! The latch folds into itself when the door is opened. Now I know why my mum insisted I become an engineer!
Friends joking aside. Now that it's fitted it works like a dream.
I highly recommend this lock BUT beware the English instructions. Samsung, why don't you guys just do what the Chinese do.. Pictures or better yet Cartoons :-)

Excellent lock let down by poor instructions
This is a smart looking lock with plenty of features such as the fire/heat alarm. Once you navigate the poor installation instructions, it is actually quite easy to install. The mortise is on the large side so you need to measure carefully that it will fit, particularly if you have glass panels in the door as the drill bits tip could hit them when boring out the mortise. The tricky bit to understand is the latch which retracts automatically (it's kind of two way, i.e. , it flips both ways even though it doesn't look like that) which is counter-intuitive as you expect it to retract when you turn the handle. I wasted an hour working this out as I didn't want to close the door and get locked in!
The instruction video shows the installation into a hollow metal door (who has one of those??). The screws supplied are for metal doors, not wooden, which I would guess most doors are. Therefore make sure you have some good stainless steel wood screws to secure the mortise and striker plates.
The lock comes with 2 RFI key fobs and a credit card type card that you can use instead of the passcodes. Again, once you navigate the instructions, they are quite easy to program in.
Overall this is a great quality lock that works well and is easy to use.

Well not as good as I thought. The product I bought from Bunnings was defective. So I returned. Bunnings said 5 at Sunshine and 2 at Taylor’s Lakes. Neither store had stock and said Bunnings had the product on some sort of banned item. (To many faults - I do not know), but disappointing.
Then to add to that I find that due to a conflict with Australian frequencies the Wi Fi module is simply not available. That is extremely disappointing and the fact they are asking the full retail price of $399, that should be taken into consideration.
Despite support being superb Mathew is brilliant, but it wants to be, because the product is just not up to scratch and in Australia as per the Gainsbough system, it should support all the features offered.
Personally now after reconsideration, I recommend you look for another product, that works as advertised, here in Australia.
